The Countdown is On!

We are all getting very excited & nervous to embark on this crazy adventure!

 Today we packed up all of the supplies to bring with us. Lots of organizing to make sure everything fit, but we did it. Only 5 more days until we all leave!

  1. Dear Jackie, Jess & Students;

    As you head out, you carry with you a little bit of all of us who stay behind. You will be in my thoughts every day. I have put on my Ghana and Zambia bracelets (I will add an India bracelet next year if someone brings one back), and I will keep them on until you are all back home with us.

    I know you will make UBC Okanagan and our School of nursing very proud. Even more important, you will make yourselves and each other proud when you see how much every one of you can contribute to global health with your knowledge, skills, and a well prepared heart. You will also be transformed by how much your Zambian colleagues, fellow students and their communities teach you about striving for health equity in their world.

    Go well, stay safe, take care of each other – and post often! Back here as we wait for your return, we will travel with you through your words.
